Aftermath....

Why do I feel like someone I love died today?  Why did all of the hope leave my heart?  I haven’t felt this bad since the Towers fell, am I over reacting?  How is this going to affect me? One of my daughters is part of the LGBT community; I know that she is in the cross-hairs.  My oldest daughter is very liberal and is friends with a huge part of many sub cultures that are going to be affected by this choice.  Both are young woman in this new Trump America, and my son is too young to understand the ramifications of what is coming in the future.  Are my nightmares of armies fighting in the streets for resources and the inevitable war with China, Russia, and North Korea soon to come true?  Being part of the poor how is this going to change my life? I’m so damn scared right now.

Chin up old bean.
Firstly I do not believe Russia will start a war with any western power. America has twice as many people as Russia as well as greater economic power. The America also has allies as well. Britain, Germany Italy and even Sweden. So I think no war is imminent at all.

Secondly, (As an Englishman) I liked President Obama but even he with a certain majority was not able to elicit as much change as he desired in the country due to all the lobbying groups. Just look at Obama care as an example. (And this comment is from a completely uneducated Englishman when it come to American Politics)

Thirdly as an Englishman I would welcome you into this country if the brown smelly stuff ever did hit the fan. Not that it will. Over here the news is all full of pessimism and doom and gloom. I expect yours is the same as disastrous news sells more then good news ever will. If there is any good news on the telly it is always the last item and usually quite trivial.

And Lastly the fear of the unknown is crippling and probably the biggest fear anyone has. But you do have friends and we will all help if we can.

All the best Mate.

With regard to the third part. If you do come over here you will have to drink tea and not coffee and drive on the correct (left) side of the road, get rotten teeth and praise the queen as often as possible and agree that the War of the rebellion of the Colony (that which you call the War of independence) was all wrong and that you are sorry.

And on a funny note the slang word for breaking wind in the UK is to Trump: Therefore you now have president Fart! If that did not make you smile I did not know what will. I bet you tell that to your friends.
