A new incarnation of cult classic Space: 1999

The cult classic Space: 1999 is making comeback – and a leap forward, via Space: 2099, as it was recently revealed that ITV Studios America and HDFILMS have begun work on a new incarnation of the 1970s TV series.

Space: 1999, which ran from 1975-1977, told the story of the inhabitants of a moonbase, who – along with the moon itself – are sent hurtling into space after the nuclear waste that had been disposed of on the moon detonates.
It was the most expensive series ever produced for television at the time it was made.

HDFilms President Jace Hall states "We are not trying to make some 'dark and gritty' version of Space: 1999. There is no reason to re-tell the Space: 1999 story since we already have Space: 1999! However, through our new story and presentation, Space: 2099 hopes to re-kindle and remind fans of those memories of a show from 35 years ago, but more importantly help bring back to all science fiction fans that sense of awe, fear and incredible spectacle that is the unknown, unexplored universe. It is important that we endeavor to bring something new and exciting to the table."

Heavy Weapons WIP

I'm still working on my heavy weapons teams for the Blood Pact. I'm at stage two, blocking colors and a little weathering.  Here are some shots.
Auto Cannon Team with makeshift barricade and stolen ammo.

I still have a 5 more teams to glue together, even though I like these smaller heads I'm going to go with the original large gas mask heads for the rest. - Cheers

Working with my winnings

Good morning Team!

I'm spending the weekend with my Son playing X-Boxs games like Gears of War 3 and Saints Row the Third and starting to build my WarGames factory Models.  Here is a shot of the winnings:

The first thing I tried to put together was the officers, since I wanted to see how they fit together. I was confused about the proportions of these models, to me the legs look too short. see photo below:
These guys are freakish midgets with no shin bones!
So I decided to fix this with some bits-box legs. see below:

I'm using Eldar Legs and some boots off of a Mideast Archer

The rest of the models are basic construction, but I do have some extra torsos and heads with the sprues.
I'm going to be creating new Officers models using bit box pieces and the extra stuff. see below:

Scum and villainy in Steel-Port

or how an Inquisitor can run the Best Criminal organization on the X-Box.
As all of you know I’ve been playing Saints Row the Third for the last few weeks. Now I did not buy the game out right, I rented it from my local Red-box kiosk. I had read some amusing reviews about the game and I was intrigued. I’m not really a fan of what I call “Crime Games” but from what I read you could customize your character with an amazing interface, customize your gang, vehicles, and lair. I love games that give you the freedom to basically create your own character and also provide an open world to explore. The Character creation interface basically gives you the ability to create whoever or whatever you want as your avatar, I’ve seen on the internet people who have created characters like The Joker, Samuel L. Jackson, and even Tony Montana the ultimate crime lord.
I’ve tried the Joker route as you've seen in a previous post, but it seems everybody was doing that so I decided to follow my first love and went with Gregor Eisenhorn, a 40K inquisitor. I know Gregor is not a criminal, far from it. But I wanted to go with a little role playing, imagining that Steel-port was just a low tech Imperial World where all the Hive gangs have run amok, and Gregor has assumed control of one of the more powerful gangs to get control of the City.
Saints Row the Third does have a huge Science Fiction aspect, especially when S.T.A.G, a S.H.I.E.L.D. like government military organization steps in to take over the City. This gives Gregor quite a few toys to play with including Jet Bikes, VTOL Jets, Tanks, and Special weapons. Right now I’m almost at the end of the Campaign, but I still have a ton of side missions to do. Over all the game is a blast!- Cheers
