Dreamation 2010

Conventions in general are fun and crazy things; I’ve been doing them since the 1980’s. Gaming conventions have every kind of gaming you would want to do, board games, war gaming, role playing, and even larping. In the beginning I use to do about five conventions a year, traveling all over the east coast getting my game on, mostly Warhammer 40k and Space Hulk, I did do a lot of G.U.R.P.S. generic universal role playing system, a fun RPG where you could do almost anything. I use to go and run games for the kids, buy stuff, eat crappy food, and then go home. But around the late nineties I dropped out of a lot of the things that I really loved, work, life, marriage and kids stopped all that. Now all of my kids are grown, except my son who is 14, and I’m getting back into the convention scene again. Dreamation and Dexcon are the only conventions I do now, basically one in the winter and one in the summer. This last weekend was Dreamation; I ran two types of games, my Zombie Apocalypse game which I borrowed from my friend Mike, and my Fallout game which I based on Necromunda. All of my games were booked up; I even had too many players for my Fallout 3 game. My first game is my escape from Hazleton PA, different scenery, and new objectives made for a really cool game. Here’s the con description: "Left 4 Dead: Escape from Hazleton" presented by James Rios & Jarrett Rios. It's been a long haul; the survivors have escaped from the city, the underground bunker, and are now crossing Hazleton PA to make it to the local airport. Battle the infected to make your escape, the infected seems to be changing even more, new monsters, new horrors, and new heroes! Come join the fun. Zombie Apocalypse on the table top! A sequel to the popular scenarios run at DEXCON 12!





The next game was the fallout game: "Fallout: The Tabletop Game" presented by James Rios & Jarrett Rios. Come one, come all, to the end of the world! It's me, Threedog and do I have an adventure for you! Yours truly is under siege by Raiders and the Enclave, and I need some brave souls to get me to the citadel of the brother hood of steel. You and the other wastelanders are needed for a trip through the capital wasteland; bring your weapons, booze, and stimpacks. You're going to need them!
