Hulk's Edward Norton mum on Avengers

Edward Norton played Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk

With The Avengers gearing up while three Marvel character films—Iron Man 2, Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America—are in the works, Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige didn't even know if the Incredible Hulk would be part of the ultimate team-up.

Edward Norton played Bruce Banner in the reboot, The Incredible Hulk,, and the actor gave a careful "no comment" when asked if he would reprise the role in The Avengers.

"I probably won't comment on that just because they keep a pretty tight rein on what they are letting out," Norton said in a group interview today in Pasadena, Calif., where he was promoting the documentary By the People: The Election of Barack Obama as part of the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Deferring to Marvel suggests a cordial relationship with the studio. Rumors surrounded the release of The Incredible Hulk that Norton was not happy with the final cut. Already he seemed an unusual participant in a major superhero movie, and the scant press he did fueled rumors that he preferred an alternate cut of the film. Now he is suggesting that he's following company orders.

"I'll let them [address it]," Norton said.

For fans of Norton's film, the good news is that he did not say no to participation in The Avengers, nor he did he seem unhappy about the question. After all, if he'd had his fill, he would have just dismissed it and moved on. Respecting Marvel's secrecy might mean that he's hoping they give him a call. Of course, maybe they'll just use the CGI Hulk and not include pesky human Banner in The Avengers at all?

Daft Punk's Tron Legacy score: for my Son

One of the highlights of last week's Comic-Con was Disney's awesome re-creation of Flynn's Arcade from the original Tron, which opened up to reveal a full-scale next-generation light cycle from the upcoming sequel Tron Legacy, accompanied by what we think is score music by Daft Punk.
Well, our pals at Latino Review have found the full Daft Punk song. (It comes from a French-language Web site called Tuxboard.)
Daft Punk will be featured heavily in the new movie, which is slated to open sometime next year.

Just a quick game...

Of Warhammer 40K with my Son...
Just some shots of tonight's game...
It's Orks VS Imperial Guard, with a few Titans.
Mini battle report:
My Son dug out his Ork boys and wanted to try out the new Stompa rules, I of course don’t have the model so we used my scratch built Chaos Titan. I was playing my very old Imperial guard army, The “Mad Cats” with my Armorcast Madcat Battlemech. The points were around 3000 a side, Jarrett had a ton of boys and battle wagons, and I had heavy support in the form of Leman Russ battle tanks and a basilisk. Basically the Titans slugged it out most of the game while Jarrett’s infantry attacked my front force; the only thing of note was Jarrett’s biker squad killing all of my Ogrens, and the Stomper shooting and killing my entire command group including a full auto cannon squad. After 6 hours we stopped and cleaned up at midnight…

Chaos Transports

These are some Transports for my heretics I made out of $1 plastic hummers I found at Big Lots.
They are a little big for jeeps, but as futuristic military trucks they work for me…
Any opinions out there?

Matt Smith in his Doctor Who costume!

by Simon Brew
The BBC reveals the look of Matt Smith as Doctor Who, as shooting commences on the fifth 'new' series of the show...

Believe it or not, but filming has begun on the fifth series of the revived Doctor Who, and the first under the stewardship of Steven Moffat. And, no doubt pre-empting fan-taken pictures that would otherwise appear, the BBC has posted a picture of Matt Smith as the Doctor, in his brand new costume.

Eccentricity is clearly key again, given the dickie bow and tweed jacket, and the picture also demonstrates the more conventional clobber that new assistant Karen Gillan will be wearing. The article, which you can find the link for below, quotes Smith as saying, "The scripts are brilliant - I'm excited about the future and all the brilliant adventures I get to go on as the Doctor."

We won't get to see any of Smith's new adventures until next Spring, but expect news of the shape of Mr Moffat's maiden season to start emerging over the coming weeks.

List of things I’m doing right now…

1) Converting some oversized military hummers into Chaos transports.
2) Converting oversized die cast cars into destroyed cars.
3) Getting ready to repaint some Imperial guard.

4) Kit bashing some recon light tanks.
5) Building and painting my new Warzone Imperial Walker for my WWW brits.
6) Painting more battle suits for my Fifth Reich Germans.

7) Sorting my figures.
8) Build some paper tanks.
9) Work on more Weird World War 2 rules.
10) Enslave the wasteland with Chaos Marines in Fallout 3.

Oh and...
11) help Jarrett convert wiffle balls into prop baseball grenades for Vampire Larp

A new leaf…

Dexcon is done, zombies have taken over the gaming world, and it’s now time for something new. Imperial guard, I want to work on my forces, build up my tank squadrons, repaint and remount my infantry. I saw some amazing imperial guard armies over the weekend, all standard paint jobs but done masterfully. I of course will go a different route, Weird World War 1 with Neo-brits and the Fifth Reich. I’ve already started converting some war machines for my forces; I also have a ton of 48th scale tanks I can use as well. I really want some new tanks and flyers, Leman Russ Battle tanks, and some chimeras. I don’t want to spend a lot of money here, I just want to have enough to run some basic battles, but I need to create some new vehicles for my forces. I’ve join a few forums that teach you how to create new and existing vehicles in card and paper, and this is the route I’m going to take. I also want to make a few titans, I have a few hold over’s from Armorcast, three titan weapons and some shoulder pieces. I will use these with my scratch building plans, and I will post pics and plans when I’m done. I will also be remounting all of my support weapons, at this time all of them are on small bases or none at all. I want to get this mounted properly and build some sandbags and little scenes with my troopers, also painting the whole army as one solid group. Most of my stuff is a hodgepodge of colors and units. I just have to sit down and plan this all out; I want to be ready before Dreamation…

Dexcon 2009

I’ve just got back after three days of game playing. In a nutshell I’m really tired, six hours of driving; practically no sleep and bad food all weekend can kill a person but not me! I spent Friday night once again running my Left 4 dead game, I had eight players this time out and the rules are solid. I even drew some flash cards to announce the coming of the big bosses and special events, the game was a great success.

On Saturday I helped with the Warhammer 40K Apocalypse battle, 9 hours of 40K! I also got to play a small force a Slannesh Chaos Marines and Dark Eldar, it was fantastic! I got to use a Titan’s Pulse laser to melt twelve terminators in one salvo! Saturday night was spent Larping and sleeping. Sunday I just had a small Zombie game. I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return next year.
Here's a shot of Linda, Jarrett and Bill... Great friends and great times!
