David Tennant and Michelle Ryan in "Planet of the Dead"

Dark Horizons reports that the "Planet of the Dead," the first of four hour-long Doctor Who specials, aired in the United Kingdom on Saturday and pulled in 8.7 million viewers and also featured a cryptic prediction about what's to come, which you can watch after the jump.

The site also reported some spoilery news about the final two Who specials, a two-parter, which are currently filming: Torchwood cast members John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth-David Lloyd have been spotted shooting scenes, as have Elisabeth Sladen ("Sarah Jane Smith") and Tommy Knight, who plays her son, Luke; Bernard Cribbins, who plays Donna Noble's grandfather, Wilf Mott; and Jacqueline King, who plays her mother, Sylvia.
