Nick Cave, the long weekend, and life…

(To everyone waiting for Gaming news, just a FYI…
I’m moving this month to a town closer to my job at Network Solutions. So once I’m moved I will once again be posting info about painting, gaming, and the adventures of The Old Gamers’ Den.)

The weekend went very well, all of Spooky’s plans went very well except for the fact that she was still very sick with the Nurgle’s rot I got from work. She also had a visit from her not so nice friend, so I thought to keep very quite this weekend, no shenanigans from me. The Neen’s apartment was very cool, she treated us like guests, and we got to New York early and took the ferry across the river to the city. It’s funny, all the years I lived in the city and I never crossed that part of the river… it’s wonderful. We walked the ten or so blocks to Madison square Garden; Spooky’s feet were killing her so we ducked into an Irish pub and had beer and onion soup. We then walked back to MSG, there was a large collection of Hispanic people there and because we had no idea where the hell we were going we followed them. I was wearing my scary “I’m a New York Thug” outfit, and it had an effect on security, they scanned me TWICE to get into the building, only to find out we were in some kind of Spanish Boxing match or something, so out again to the street to find out fellow weirdoes looking for the cave. We found it and made it in to a nice and smallish theater. Nick was great, the crowd was “too cool” to enjoy the cave, but Spooky and I loved it. We made it back safe to Neen’s apartment, only much poorer, but it was worth it… now back to the grind…I will edit with a copy of the wife’s post if she does…
